DESCRIPTION: Prolong your growing season and learn what an impact your garden can have on insects, birds, and soil long into fall and winter. We’ll talk about tools like cold frames and low tunnels, then get into how we can turn our gardens into healthy habitat for wildlife.Â

Fall Gardening and Cold Frames

DESCRIPTION: Let's go look for some mushrooms! We'll discuss common fall edible mushrooms, foraging safety, then hike through the park, guided by an ISU Extension-certified wild-foraged mushroom hunter. Dress according to the weather; most of this event will be spent hiking.Â
